Titanium Reinforced PTFE Membrane
Titanium Reinforced PTFE Membrane
Ti-PTFE
Non-resorbable PTFE membrane
is made of
high density PTFE preventing growth of
bacteria while being
facilitating cellular
adhesion to the surface and
plasma protein absorption upon
implantation.
A membrane is a barrier which is a device used in oral surgery and periodontal surgery to prevent gum from growing into the bone cavity.
Advantage of Non-Resorbable PTFE Membrane
- Membrane can be molded and shaped for tenting and space maintenance
- Removal is simplified due to lack of tissue ingrowth into the surface structure
- 100% high density PTFE backing prevents migration of bacteria into wound if exposed
- Primary closure is not essential
